My teaching pedagogy is stemmed within Goddard College's Progressive Education model. Curiosity, experimentation, and critical, reflective thinking are at the center of the inquiry process. These qualities align with a method of learning that encourages processes of creating knowledge, rather than retaining and reciting knowledge created by others. Learning looks different for each student, the process of teaching must align with the student's lived context and experiences. Progressive Education encourages learning that explores questions and problems from many angles, with an intention of advancing knowledge and creating new understanding.
